Immigration Law:  Vellanoweth & Gehart, LLP, represents indivduals and unites familes before the Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Immigration Courts,  Federal Courts of Appeal, and Consulates by obtaining and/or retaining Legal Permanent Resident status through consular processing, adjustment of status, cancellation of removal, and by obtaining U.S. Citizenship.

Criminal Law:  Vellanoweth & Gehart, LLP, consults non-citizens regarding the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and represents them in  California Criminal Courts to protect against the retroactive immigration laws intended to strip Legal Permanent Resident status for mere misdemeanors and against plea bargains recommended by criminal counsel who have little understanding of the life-long immigration consequences of the pleas they recommend and fail to research and advise their clients of those consequences.

Team Concept: Vellanoweth & Gehart, LLP, believe that the current complexity of our immigration laws requires a departure from the traditional assignment of client cases to one attorney only.  In our team concept, up to five attorneys may work on a single case, depending on the particular requirements of the case.  At Vellanoweth & Gehart, LLP, each attorney brings different strengths, skills, and experiences to improve the quality and execution of our legal opinions, tactics, and strategies.
